Try to find a place where the best players play, find and then see how you and ask for advice. In general, it will cost you a beer (or two) but it's worth it. Silver Strike is not as complicated as Golden Tee, but as Golden Tee is necessary for players who are better than you are for your games to be found.
There are many different playing styles, but some elements seem to be universal - hard with a heavy ball and a big hook.
